Pat and Graphics
Graphics seems to be an area where my background in math and computers
tie together very nicely. I have been know to calculate graphics
commands.
I have done some programming in PostScript although a lot of it has been
translating earlier programs to generate a PostScript file rather than
directly programming in PostScript. Probably the most notable
exception is the most recent version of my program for baseball score sheets. I think I have made
modifications every time I have printed it out and it is certainly a lot
simplier than going through an intermediate program.
In the past I have written programs to generate various graphics files
such as WordPerfect graphics (far enough in the past that they probably
don't work with the version of WordPerfect) and HP PLC for such things
as a chair creature for my husband, and various figures for
statistics.
Fractals are an area that I have played with a little and would like to
do some more with. The problem with all of these visual things is when
I get started I have so many things to look at that I reach sensory
overload before I really want to stop.
My interest in photography also fits in with
my computer interests and specifically graphics. I have only started to
play with scanned images but I could certainly spend an infinite amount
of time there if I am not careful.
