There already exist some sites on pension research. Thus, the selection of links on this site reflects my personal research interests and to some extent serves as my bookmark list. However, if you know of an informative site which is not included in my list, please send me an e-mail (croehler@ssc.upenn.edu). Please, also let me know if a link on this page is outdated or did not work properly.

I can read English and German, links to sites in other languages are provided solely on the basis of recommendations by others or a guess that they might be useful to those who speak that language.

Australia

Australian Department of Social Security
Commonwealth Service Delivery Agency
The Social Security Act 1991 (Commonwealth Consolidated Acts) is available through the Australasian Legal Information Institute. Amendments to this legislation are also available and can be accessed via a search engine.

Germany

  Index: deutsch, english, francais, espanol An excellent site with lots of information. The site provides the full text of the Sozialgesetzbuch (Social Security Law) which currently includes the laws regulating the old age pension insurance, long term care insurance and worker's compensation. Other labor market laws and old age pension laws for special groups are also available. Also available are a list of Forschungsberichte (Research Publications) and Entwurf des Rentenreformgesetzes 1999 (Draft for social security reform legislation 1999).

• Pension Research Council, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania
• The Pensions Institute, Birkbeck College, University of London The major institute for pension research in the UK. It is their declared goal to establish a network of pension researchers around the world. Besides information on their own research and a directory of pension researchers this institute provides a virtual library.
• The Social Policy Research Center, University of New South Wales, Australia
• The Cato Institute has various pages on Social security:
  The Project on Privatization of Social Security (director: Michael Tanner, co-Chair: Jose Pinera) presents the main focus and the agenda, Papers on Social Security Privatization show more detailed work. The site 'Social Security is Broke' is also maintained by the Cato Institute.
  
• The International Center for Pension Reform was founded by Jose Pinera, former Chilean Minister of Labor and Social Security. It promotes the privatization of the US Social Security System along the Chilean model.

Published quarterly by the International Social Security Organization. Abstracts online with some delay.

  Seems to be a publication on pension plans, managed health care etc. Their 'webwatch' page provides various links to the pension industry.
