2008 PIER Conference on Political Economy. On September 5, 2008 and September 6, 2008, PIER will hold a conference on Political Economy at the University of Pennsylvania. The conference goal is to bring together scholars from Europe and the United States to discuss new and exciting research topics in political economics. The program organizer is Antonio Merlo with support from the School of Arts & Sciences. The conference will be held in Steinberg Hall-Dietrich Hall, 3620 Locust Walk.

Conference in Honor of Andrew Postlewaite's 65th Birthday October 11 and 12, 2008.

Previous Conferences

Search & Matching Colloquium. On Saturday, March 22nd in the Econ Department Conference Room (McNeil building, 1st. floor). Organized by Randall Wright, Philipp Kircher, Jan Eeckhout and Roberto Benjamin Pinheiro.

4th Annual CARESS-Cowles Conference on Equilibrium Theory and Its Applications. On April 18-20, 2008. The conference will be held in 286-7 McNeil Building, 3718 Locust Walk.

2007 PIER Conference on Political Economy. On September 14 and 15, 2007, PIER will hold a conference on Political Economy at the University of Pennsylvania. The conference goal is to bring together scholars from Europe and the United States to discuss new and exciting research topics in political economics. The program organizer is Antonio Merlo with support from the School of Arts & Sciences. The conference will be held in Steinberg Hall-Dietrich Hall, 3620 Locust Walk.

Fifth PIER IGIER International Conference. On November 2 and 3, 2007, PIER and the Innocenzo Gasparini Institute for Economic Research will hold their Fifth International PIER-IGIER conference at the University of Pennsylvania. This year's conference focuses on Inequality in Macroeconomics: Facts and Theories. The goal of this conference is to bring together leading macroeconomists to discuss current issues. The program organizers are Dirk Krueger for PIER and Roberto Perotti for IGIER. The conference will be held in Steinberg Hall-Dietrich Hall, 3620 Locust Walk.

Greater New York Metropolitan Area Econometrics Colloquium. On December 1, 2007, the Greater New York Metropolitan Area Econometrics Colloquium will be held at the University of Pennsylvania. The conference goal is to foster interaction and exchanges among researchers in econometrics located in a broad set of academic institutions in the New York metropolitan area. The program organizers are Aureo de Paula, Frank Schorfheide, and Kevin Song with support from the Penn Institute for Economic Research and the School of Arts & Sciences. The conference will be held in Huntsman Hall, Room 250, 3730 Walnut Street.
