The EAST Seminar Series
On Thursday September 29, EAST was host to Jerzy Strzelecki, the
former Polish Deputy Minister of Ownership Transformation. He spoke about
different meanings of privatization, and the strategies that former East
European countries are taking to achieve privatization. His emphasis
was on the Polish experience.
East European Students Association
Margaret Berczynski, on the EAST staff, has started the University of
Pennsylvania's first East European Students Association. The group has
been meeting weekly since September.
